My name is Noah Bemis, and I'm the founder of Kind Mind Project. I'm a chemistry and chemical & biological engineering student and a professional chef, and I decided to take on a problem I couldn't stop thinking about.
Actually, two problems. Companies are buying and selling your data. And AI is advancing at a dangerous pace, while the limits meant to keep it safe struggle to keep up.
Kind Mind Project is built to fix both, even if the big companies won't. In turn, it's built to help with the economic and social problems AI is going to bring with it. Kitchens and labs taught me the same lesson: check everything, because small mistakes hurt people. That's how Kind Mind is built.

No layer takes another's word for anything. Each one is named for what it does, with the technical term beside it.
Sentinel
policy engine · sandbox · signed audit logEvery request the AI makes goes through Sentinel first. It checks the request against written rules, tries risky actions in a sandbox, hides your personal details from the AI and stops anything that crosses a line. Each decision is recorded in a log that shows any tampering.
Rebecca
sealed core agentRebecca is the AI you talk to. She writes, plans and answers questions, and she'll become the one assistant you use on every device running Kind Mind. She works in a sealed container with no internet, no access to your files and no access to your passwords. Her only way out is through Sentinel.
Regal
meta-human advisor · independent auditorRegal watches the whole system on its own and reports straight to you. It keeps a live safety score, explains every alert in plain words and warns you before any change would weaken your protection or give the AI more power than it should have. It's there to catch human mistakes, too.
Guardian
zero-trust perimeter · quarantineGuardian guards the edges. It quarantines suspicious files, strips hidden location data from photos, checks links and cuts off any outside program that tries to get in. Only code you've approved can run inside.

Every start, every change
Each time Kind Mind starts, and before any change is saved, it attacks a copy of itself 87 ways. One attack getting through is enough to refuse the change and raise an alarm.
Tests that prove themselves
For each test, the protection is switched off in the copy and the attack has to get through. A test that would pass either way doesn't count, so a passing score means something.
It can't be quietly weakened
Delete an attack, rig a test or edit the results, and the watchdog raises a critical alert.

Upgrades tested before they're trusted
Before the AI gets any upgrade, the upgrade is tested in a simulation for both skill and safety, using exams the AI can't see ahead of time. Nothing goes live without a person approving it.
