Kind Mind Project
Transparency report

What we know about you, and who has asked.

Most companies publish a page like this to show how many times governments asked for their users' data, and how often they handed it over. Ours is short, because Kind Mind is built so there's almost nothing to hand over.

Last checked by Noah Bemis: October 14, 2026. Checked again at least once a month.

0requests for user data received, from any government, court, company or person
0times we've handed over anyone's data
Noneof your files, chats or AI work stored on our servers. We don't run servers for that.
The app (in testing)

Everything that can ever leave your computer

Kind Mind runs on your own computer, and so does its AI. This is the complete list of ways anything can leave it. Each one goes through Sentinel (the gate) and is written into a signed log on your computer that you can read any time.

  1. Never

Your files and chats, to an AI company

The AI model runs on your computer. Nothing you give it is sent to an AI company. If you later choose to add your own key for an outside AI, that will be off by default and every request will still pass through Sentinel first.

  2. Never

Usage tracking, analytics or crash reports

The app doesn't "phone home." There's no usage counter, no crash reporter and no ad code. Updates are installed by hand for now, so it doesn't even check in for those.

  3. Only when you approve

An email you've read and approved

Drafts are written on your computer. Nothing is sent until you approve that exact email, and then it goes from your own mailbox, through a sealed connection that can only reach your mail server.

  4. Only when you ask

    A lookup of public information

Finding work means reading public listings, like the state's list of new businesses, job boards, a business's own website, or a map search with your own key. Each lookup runs in a sealed box that can only reach that one site and brings back plain text. Your files never go along with it.

  5. Only if you share it

    Your monthly safety receipt

A one-page summary of what Kind Mind stopped that month. It's counts only (no messages, files, names or addresses), and it stays on your computer unless you decide to share it yourself.

This website

What the website keeps

  • No cookies, no ads, no analytics and no tracking scripts.
  • Early-access sign-up: we never store your email. We keep a one-way code made from it that can't be turned back into your address, not even by us, plus your place in line and what you said you'd use it for.
  • Your IP address is never stored. A one-hour, one-way code of it is used only to stop floods, then deleted.
  • If you email us, the message sits in our business mailbox so we can reply, and it's deleted whenever you ask.

The full details are on the privacy page.

How this page stays honest

Our promises about this page

  • If we ever receive a request for anyone's data, the count above changes, and we'll say as much about it as the law allows.
  • If anything is added to the list of what can leave your computer, it goes on this page before it goes into the app.
  • The date at the top is the last time a person checked every line. If it's more than two months old, treat this page as out of date and ask us.

You shouldn't have to take our word for it. Our own red-team gym attacks Kind Mind at every start and before every save (see the results), and we plan to publish the safety core's code so anyone can check these claims.
